About the Role
Join Jacobs as a Planner and contribute to the successful management of some of Ireland's most complex and high-profile infrastructure initiatives. This position involves more than just creating schedules – it requires shaping project delivery strategies to overcome challenges, enable sound decision-making, and foster outcomes that enhance communities, connectivity, and sustainability.
Responsibilities
- Build, update, and refine integrated project schedules that provide a clear framework for execution success.
- Ensure logical sequencing of activities, resource alignment, and connection to critical program milestones.
- Track project progress, analyze scheduling trends, and identify risks and opportunities to prevent delays.
- Deliver accurate forecasts, scenario analyses, and planning insights that underpin strategic decisions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate tasks and ensure cohesive delivery across multiple workstreams.
- Generate insightful progress reports and scheduling intelligence to maintain transparency with clients and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience managing complex project schedules for major infrastructure, engineering, construction, or capital projects.
- Proficiency in recognized planning software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar tools.
- Capability to interpret program performance, recognize emerging risks/opportunities, and recommend practical solutions.
- Sound knowledge of planning methodologies including critical path analysis, progress monitoring, and forecasting approaches.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, capable of engaging project teams, clients, and senior leaders effectively.
- A proactive, detail-oriented approach with a passion for steering projects to successful completion.
- Skill in translating complex scheduling data into clear insights that assist informed decision-making.
