Role Overview

As a Penetration Tester with HackLabs, you will play a pivotal role within the offensive security team, performing thorough and complex evaluations that simulate the tactics of genuine cyber adversaries.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, plan, and implement in-depth penetration tests targeting various environments such as web, API, and mobile applications.
• Conduct internal and external network security assessments.
• Evaluate wireless network defenses through security assessments.
• Perform adversary simulations and participate in Red Team exercises.
• Identify vulnerabilities, carry out exploitation and post-exploitation activities to assess the extent and impact of security breaches.
• Develop comprehensive technical reports highlighting discovered vulnerabilities, exploitation methods, and recommend strategic and practical remediation for both technical teams and executive leadership.
• Assist in enhancing HackLabs’ proprietary testing methodologies and toolsets to maintain an industry-leading position.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proven background in penetration testing and/or red teaming practices.
• Solid expertise in testing web applications, mobile apps, or both internal and external network infrastructures.
• Thorough understanding of key industry frameworks such as OWASP, MITRE ATT&CK, and NIST.
• Proficient with essential security tools including Burp Suite Professional, Metasploit, Nmap, and various Kali Linux utilities.
• Exceptional communication abilities to clearly convey complex technical issues to audiences with varied technical knowledge.
