Job description

Position Overview

An established international organization is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join their dynamic payroll team based in Warrington. This permanent, full-time role involves working three days in the office and two days remotely. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing payroll across multiple contracts within agreed deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while ensuring compliance with regulations and internal policies.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Complete the entire payroll process for various contracts within specified timeframes.
  • Ensure accurate employee payments aligned with diverse pay agreements.
  • Handle records related to new hires, terminations, and contract modifications.
  • Calculate payments such as redundancy, notice, and termination amounts.
  • Manage statutory and occupational pay including statutory sick pay, maternity pay, and paternity pay.
  • Generate payroll reports and distribute relevant information to company departments.
  • Communicate with HMRC, pension providers, and other external agencies.
  • Address payroll-related inquiries professionally and promptly.
  • Maintain precise and up-to-date payroll documentation.
  • Stay updated with changes in payroll legislation and company protocols.
  • Assist in ensuring adherence to payroll policies and compliance standards.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience working within a fast-paced, multisite payroll setting.
  • Proficient in end-to-end payroll processing.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office, particularly advanced Excel capabilities.
  • Comprehensive understanding of payroll and pension laws.
  • Familiarity with HMRC reporting requirements, including Benefits in Kind.
  • Exceptional attention to detail coupled with solid organizational abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills and adeptness at stakeholder management.
  • Possession of a CIPP qualification is preferred but not mandatory.
