Role Overview
The Payroll Administrator is tasked with supporting the processing of multiple monthly payrolls to ensure the Payroll department operates efficiently and meets deadlines. A comprehensive understanding of PAYE and related payroll regulations is crucial. The role demands reliability in delivering payroll processing on schedule and maintaining accuracy under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing various monthly payroll cycles from data collection through to payment and reconciliation.
- Maintain smooth and efficient daily operations within the Payroll department.
- Execute payroll runs punctually within predefined deadlines.
- Provide clients with detailed reports and data tailored to their specifications.
- Ensure payroll processing complies with PAYE and other relevant legislative requirements.
- Generate reports and spreadsheets using payroll software.
- Timely payment of PAYE, court orders, and pension deductions to designated third parties.
- Record payments and receipts into the cashbook and perform full reconciliation against payroll data.
- Address employee inquiries swiftly and courteously.
- Manage client and employee queries professionally.
- Handle additional payments such as salary advances and payments to third parties, demonstrating flexibility in working hours and responsibilities.
Candidate Profile
- Experience processing payroll within media, agency, or similar sectors.
- Strong familiarity with payroll systems and legislation.
- Exceptional attention to detail and discretion with sensitive information.
- Effective communication skills for responsive employee interaction.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
Additional Information
- Permanent position with a salary range of 38,000 to 30,000 depending on experience.
