Job description

Overview

Join our team in Bristol as a Payroll Administrator responsible for ensuring the accurate, compliant, and timely processing of employee payrolls. This role provides an excellent chance to grow your payroll expertise within an organization that prioritizes career advancement and professional growth.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire payroll cycle for weekly and monthly payments with precision
  • Handle administrative tasks related to new hires, departures, changes in contracts, and salary progression updates
  • Oversee statutory and company contractual payments such as statutory sick pay and various parental pays
  • Implement payroll deductions following legal requirements and company policies
  • Conduct thorough payroll verifications including test runs and final processing
  • Prepare BACS payment documentation and generate payroll reports
  • Address payroll inquiries professionally and promptly
  • Work in close partnership with HR, Operations, and Finance departments

Candidate Profile

  • Prior payroll administration experience, preferably within a complex organizational setup
  • Strong numerical skills and analytical capability
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Effective communication abilities across all organizational levels
  • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office suite
  • Capacity to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Dedicated to maintaining confidentiality alongside excellent customer service
  • Experience in full payroll processing is a plus but not mandatory
