Role Overview
The Partnerships Associate position supports regional business development efforts across Southeast Asia and beyond by working closely with senior partnership leads. The role focuses on identifying and managing relationships with banking partners, payment providers, and strategic vendors who contribute to M-DAQ's cross-border payments platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify potential partners and manage ongoing outreach within banking, payments, and fintech ecosystems.
- Assist in crafting partnership proposals, commercial term sheets, and pitch presentations.
- Coordinate onboarding processes with internal Legal, Compliance, and Product departments to activate new partnerships.
- Maintain accurate records of partner documentation, contracts, and communications.
- Conduct market analysis and competitor research to uncover new partnership opportunities in target markets such as Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, and more.
- Prepare briefing documents and status reports for company leadership.
- Support regulatory and compliance documentation as required during partner onboarding.
- Participate in partner meetings, ensuring timely follow-ups and managing action items independently.
Candidate Profile
- 1 to 2 years experience in business development, partnerships, account management, or similar client-oriented/commercial roles, preferably within fintech, payments, or financial services sectors.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities; proficient in professional correspondence and internal documentation.
- Highly detail-focused with strong organizational and project coordination skills.
- Ability to collaborate across multiple teams, including Legal, Compliance, Operations, and Product.
- Capability to handle ambiguity and manage various concurrent responsibilities efficiently.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Fluent English required; knowledge of Mandarin or other regional languages is advantageous for cross-border engagement.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with payments, foreign exchange, or cross-border settlement products.
- Experience handling regulatory and compliance-related documents.
- Background working in fast-moving, multi-jurisdictional environments.
