Role Overview
The Papermaker position is a full-time, on-site role based in Rajahmundry. The individual in this role will manage the complete papermaking procedure including pulp preparation and monitoring, operating and fine-tuning milling equipment, and ensuring the production operates efficiently and produces quality paper.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and oversee pulp handling throughout production.
- Operate and adjust machinery to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Regularly inspect equipment and raw materials for any issues.
- Record production data diligently and identify any deviations in the process.
- Work closely with maintenance and quality control teams to address process problems.
- Follow safety protocols consistently.
- Assist with continuous improvements to enhance production efficiency and reduce waste.
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to achieve daily production targets.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
Qualifications and Skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of the paper manufacturing industry and hands-on experience in papermaking processes.
- Practical experience in pulp preparation and mill operations.
- Proficiency in process optimization to monitor critical parameters and enhance productivity.
- Experience working with industrial milling machinery and related equipment.
- Strong understanding of safety standards and ability to comply with standard operating procedures.
- Ability to interpret production data and basic technical documentation.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills; flexibility to work in shifts as required.
- Possession of a relevant technical diploma or vocational qualification in paper technology, mechanical engineering, or industrial disciplines is preferred. Previous experience in a paper mill or related manufacturing environment is advantageous.
