Job description
Position Overview
Devta Electricals is seeking a Wiring Technician / Wireman to join the Electrical Projects department. This full-time role is based at site locations in Powai and IIT Bombay, Mumbai. The work schedule is from 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM, and may require travel to various job sites. Provident Fund and other employee benefits apply. Preference is given to male candidates.
Key Duties
- Complete electrical wiring tasks including primary and secondary point wiring on industrial, commercial, and residential project sites.
- Install switches, electrical boards, and fixtures according to provided layouts.
- Fix, arrange, and terminate Distribution Boards (DBs).
- Lay cables for lighting, power outlets, and equipment installation.
- Mount cable trays such as ladder or perforated types with appropriate supports and alignment.
- Assist with measurements and material handling at the site.
- Maintain safety protocols and ensure neat, well-organized wiring installations.
- Collaborate daily with Site Engineers for work reporting and progress updates.
Required Skills and Knowledge
- Fundamental understanding of electrical wiring and distribution systems.
- Competency in using hand tools, test meters, and specialized wiring tools.
- Ability to interpret simple wiring diagrams and Single Line Diagrams (SLDs).
