Job description
Role Overview
This position involves loading and unloading freight, scanning packages, and sorting freight within the facility efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle loading and unloading of freight items.
- Scan packages and sort freight accurately within the warehouse environment.
Qualifications and Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
- Understanding of FedEx Canada operations and Canadian Customs rules is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Capability to complete both initial and recurrent training successfully.
- Physical ability to lift up to 70 pounds manually and maneuver packages up to 150 pounds using suitable equipment.
Work Hours and Compensation
- Grade: 79
- Schedule: Monday through Saturday with one day off, starting between 5:00 AM and 10:00 AM.
- Compensation: $20.37 per hour.

Employees may be expected to perform additional tasks as assigned and must meet minimum standards on mandatory tests and training sessions. Proficiency with PC Windows environment is essential, as well as maintaining any required annual accreditations. Shift times may vary based on business needs.
For candidates residing in Quebec, bilingual proficiency in French and English is required. If the role involves driving, applicants must hold a valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle class and have a driving record with no more than two incidents or violations in the past 24 months. Candidates will be evaluated based on driving history, interview performance, and driver competency testing when applicable.
