Job description
Overview
The Operator role is essential for maintaining safe, compliant, and efficient manufacturing processes, upholding high standards in Safety, Quality, Service, and Cost. This position demands hands-on leadership and technical know-how to meet production goals according to company policies and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote a strong Safety-First culture by identifying and mitigating risks proactively.
- Comply fully with environmental, health, and safety regulations and participate in routine safety audits and behavioral safety programs.
- Operate manufacturing equipment like mixing, filling, and packaging machinery safely and efficiently.
- Support process monitoring, start-up, shutdown, shift handover, and changeover duties to maximize operational uptime.
- Manage raw materials handling, including using forklifts when certified, and escalate issues as needed.
- Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices and quality standards, maintaining accurate production documentation and supporting quality investigations and improvements.
- Engage actively in continuous improvement initiatives such as Total Productive Maintenance, Lean Manufacturing, TPM, 5S, and Kaizen events.
- Provide leadership and coaching to peers, fostering teamwork, accountability, and operational excellence.
- Support operational performance by monitoring equipment, contributing to troubleshooting, and maintaining orderly and audit-ready workspaces.
Qualifications
- High School or Vocational Diploma or equivalent.
- Strong aptitude for learning and commitment to ongoing development.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for diverse team settings.
- Demonstrated accountability and leadership consistent with company values and safety culture.
- Adaptability to fast-paced, changing manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of chemical manufacturing processes and product applications.
- Preferred forklift certification and material-handling experience.
