Key Duties

  • Manage and maintain Microsoft Windows Server environments including patching, configuration changes, service management, and troubleshooting.

  • Monitor server and application resources, Windows services, and system availability for optimal performance.
  • Install, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot Apache web servers, including virtual hosts, redirects, proxy settings, and connectivity issues.
  • Administer SSL/TLS certificates — installation, renewal, and management of certificate chains and HTTPS configurations.
  • Analyze and resolve communication problems between application components, web servers, load balancers, and related infrastructure.
  • Investigate Windows Event Viewer logs, Apache access and error logs, and other application logs to identify system or application issues.
  • Diagnose and resolve availability, startup, performance, and connectivity problems across Windows Servers, Apache servers, and application services.
  • Implement recovery procedures such as service restarts and validate system stability post-incident.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of recurring application and infrastructure failures.
  • Support installation, upgrades, patches, backups, pre- and post-maintenance validation, and rollback of application software.
  • Provide technical Level 2 support and coordinate with internal teams and external vendors for issue resolution and escalation when required.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including configurations, upgrade instructions, implementation plans, rollbacks, and troubleshooting guides.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related disciplines.
  • Substantial experience managing Microsoft Windows Server environments and services.
  • Expertise in Apache HTTP Server installation, configuration, maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in managing SSL/TLS certificates and HTTPS configuration.
  • Strong skills in troubleshooting enterprise applications running on Windows and Apache platforms.
  • Ability to analyze logs from Windows, Apache, and applications for problem identification.
  • Experience providing Level 2 application and server support.
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, ports, HTTP, and HTTPS.
  • Excellent problem-solving, root cause analysis, documentation, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience supporting enterprise web applications or document management systems.
  • Familiarity with Java-based applications and Apache Tomcat or equivalent application servers.
  • Knowledge of working in high availability or load-balanced application environments.
