.Net Full Stack Developer with Angular

Overview

As a Senior Software Engineer at Cognizant, you will utilize your advanced skills in Azure-based web application development with .Net Core, Angular, and TypeScript to deliver secure, scalable solutions for consumer-facing platforms. Operating in a hybrid day shift environment, you will collaborate with agile teams to enhance customer lending experiences and optimize operational efficiency for a global organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect end-to-end web applications using .Net Core, Angular, and Azure ensuring alignment with enterprise technology standards while delivering high-performance, secure consumer-facing features.
• Develop modular, responsive UI components using TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap to maintain a consistent and accessible design across products and devices.
• Create robust RESTful APIs in .Net Core and C# facilitating reliable integration with internal systems and external partners with emphasis on performance and security.
• Optimize data access layers using Entity Framework and T-SQL to enhance query efficiency, maintain data integrity, and support high transaction volumes in lending domains.
• Adopt agile methodologies for planning, refining, and delivering user stories in short iterations, promoting transparent communication and alignment with business priorities.
• Conduct comprehensive unit, integration, and functional testing using contemporary testing frameworks to enhance code reliability and enable frequent deployments within a hybrid work setup.
• Collaborate closely with product owners, business analysts, and QA engineers to convert complex requirements into clear technical designs minimizing rework and expediting time to market.
• Refactor legacy .Net Framework and JavaScript codebases into maintainable .Net Core applications to enhance system stability and reduce technical debt.
• Monitor and improve application performance and availability in Azure environments using caching, configuration tuning, and resource optimization techniques.
• Maintain clear documentation of technical designs, coding standards, and deployment processes to facilitate knowledge sharing and smooth onboarding across distributed teams.
• Support production deployments and resolve incidents during the day shift by analyzing logs, debugging, and implementing fixes to ensure customer trust and service continuity.
• Participate in code reviews and pair programming to boost code quality, encourage best practices, and foster shared ownership of key services.
• Drive continuous process improvement through proposing tooling, process, and automation enhancements to increase development efficiency and improve the reliability of consumer lending solutions.

Requirements

• Proven expertise in .Net Core, .Net Framework, and C# demonstrated through building maintainable enterprise applications and mentoring in coding standards.
• Hands-on experience with Angular, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap for creating responsive single-page applications supporting complex workflows.
• Strong understanding of Entity Framework, T-SQL, relational database design, query optimization, and transaction management for high-volume business applications.
• Practical knowledge of Azure services covering application hosting, monitoring, and configuration management for secure, scalable, and resilient cloud solutions.
• Familiarity with agile practices including backlog management, sprint planning, and retrospectives enabling effective collaboration in hybrid cross-functional teams.
• Competence in designing and implementing RESTful APIs with proper versioning, error handling, and documentation to standardize integration across consumer-facing systems.
• Awareness or interest in consumer lending domains such as credit assessment and regulatory compliance to build user-centric, compliant, and efficient solutions.
• Excellent communication skills to clearly articulate technical concepts and produce documentation that ensures mutual understanding across diverse stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging capabilities utilizing logs, metrics, and tracing tools to rapidly identify and resolve root causes and apply durable production fixes.
