Job Overview
The Multi-Technician will assist the Duty Engineer in the upkeep and maintenance of all electrical equipment within the property, ensuring work quality aligns with established standards. Employees must promptly report any issues potentially affecting the hotel's interests to management and uphold the company's mission statement as well as departmental objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate effectively across all hotel departments to foster smooth cooperation, increased productivity, high morale, and superior guest services.
- Support and motivate team members to guarantee effective and efficient departmental operations.
- Address and resolve queries expediently to maintain service quality.
- Maintain comprehensive records of materials and equipment, ensuring cost-effective resource usage.
- Possess detailed knowledge of the hotel's electrical system, including circuits, current loads, possible capacity for new installations, and adhere strictly to prescribed electrical standards.
- Conduct repairs, maintenance, and installation tasks for the electrical infrastructure of the building.
- Detect and pinpoint electrical faults using appropriate testing tools.
- Test electrical devices such as motors, heaters, and control units for safety and efficiency levels.
- Install electrical fixtures and related equipment as needed.
- Inspect electrical circuits to confirm proper shielding and grounding.
- Have knowledge of fire alarm systems and comply with related safety protocols.
Safety, Hygiene, and Environmental Responsibility
- Maintain a clean and organized work and storage environment.
- Follow safety instructions and equipment handling procedures carefully.
- Adhere to hotel security rules, especially concerning emergencies like fires.
- Support the hotel’s environmental commitments, including energy conservation, recycling, and waste sorting, complying with ISO 14001 standards when applicable.
Qualifications and Experience
- Previous experience ranging from 1 to 2 years in a relevant role.
- Diploma or appropriate degree related to the field.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills coupled with solid problem-solving capabilities.
- Proven ability to improve organizational effectiveness by delegating tasks clearly and efficiently.
- Robust technical and operational knowledge pertinent to electrical systems.
- Experience in general building maintenance is essential.
