Job Overview
We seek an experienced Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Manager to develop and maintain robust M&E systems that support project implementation and impact assessment. This role will involve close collaboration with project teams, partners, and stakeholders to ensure continuous improvement and high-quality data management.
Key Responsibilities
- Offer expert guidance in monitoring and evaluation planning and methodologies.
- Participate in project design, contributing to development of theories of change, results frameworks, and logical frameworks.
- Create detailed Monitoring and Evaluation plans tailored to projects.
- Assist in defining performance indicators and targets to track impact effectively.
- Support proposal preparation for M&E-related components.
- Implement monitoring systems and develop appropriate data collection tools.
- Continuously monitor project activities and outputs, ensuring progress aligns with anticipated results.
- Utilize data platforms and databases to capture and organize information efficiently.
- Train and coach field staff on M&E processes to maintain data integrity.
- Carry out or facilitate data quality assessments.
- Analyze both quantitative and qualitative data; clean, categorize, and prepare data for reporting.
- Generate periodic reports—monthly, quarterly, or annually—as required by projects.
- Communicate evaluation results and project outcomes to donors and relevant stakeholders.
- Lead or support special studies and evaluations; manage external consultants and scope of work documentation for final or impact evaluations.
- Contribute to knowledge management by fostering institutional learning, organizing communities of practice, and documenting best practices within the M&E domain.
