About the Role
GMC Utilities Group is seeking a highly organized and proactive Metering Coordinator to join their team based in Tuam, Galway. This position plays an essential role in managing the daily operations of the Meter Reading team by planning, scheduling, and monitoring their activities to ensure timely and efficient service delivery aligned with client and operational expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Metering Manager in overseeing daily metering tasks and operations.
- Schedule and assign work to Meter Readers, optimizing resource use.
- Communicate regularly with field Meter Readers to track progress, address scheduling problems, and offer operational support.
- Maintain precise work schedules and update internal records to reflect completed and pending tasks.
- Analyze workload volumes to help predict future resource needs.
- Generate and share operational and management reports highlighting trends and focus areas.
- Monitor team performance relative to client KPIs and operational goals.
- Organize customer appointments and handle operational inquiries and escalations professionally and promptly.
- Ensure all completed work is accurately documented within company systems.
- Support processing tasks related to work completions, payments, and administrative duties as necessary.
- Keep thorough records and ensure all paperwork complies with company policies.
- Provide administrative and coordination assistance to the Metering Manager and broader operations team.
- Perform any additional duties reasonably requested to support the business.
Eligibility and Required Experience
- Previous experience in coordination, scheduling, or administrative support roles.
- Background in utilities, construction, or similar operational sectors is preferred.
- Strong organizational abilities with capacity to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling positive relationships with field teams and management.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and general IT skills.
- Experience with scheduling or workforce management software such as Maximo, Click, or Syclo is advantageous.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical capabilities.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
- Capability to perform under pressure and meet stringent deadlines in a fast-paced setting.

- High integrity with strict adherence to confidentiality and data privacy requirements.
