Mechanical Design Manager

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Manager to lead our design team focused on special purpose machines (SPM) and industrial automation projects. Based in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, this role requires overseeing the entire machine design process from initial concept through to production, ensuring quality, safety, and cost-effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the mechanical design team working on SPM and automation projects.
• Manage complete machine design lifecycle including conceptualization, development, and production.
• Design and review mechanical components such as assemblies, mechanisms, shafts, bearings, linear guides, and ball screws.
• Prepare and assess technical drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and specifications.
• Collaborate closely with production, assembly, electrical, and PLC teams for project integration.
• Ensure all designs meet quality standards, safety regulations, manufacturability, and cost objectives.
• Manage schedules and provide technical guidance to engineering staff.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• B.Tech or B.E. degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in mechanical design.
• Proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD software for mechanical design.
• Strong foundation in mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes.
• Experience in designing for SPM, industrial machinery, or automation is preferred.
• Proven leadership and project management capabilities.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
