Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Mathematics Tutor to join our team at the Paya Lebar/Ubi location. This full-time, on-site position requires planning and delivering curriculum-aligned, engaging lessons that clarify mathematical principles. The tutor will guide students through practice problems and problem-solving exercises, regularly assess their progress, and tailor teaching approaches to fit individual learning needs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct structured lessons based on curriculum standards in an on-site classroom setting.
• Explain mathematical concepts clearly and encourage active problem-solving among students.
• Track and document student performance, providing constructive feedback to learners.
• Maintain open communication with parents or guardians regarding student progress and challenges.
• Collaborate with fellow educators to refine instructional materials and pedagogical methods.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful learning atmosphere in line with the center’s policies.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in Mathematics, capable of teaching core topics at various competency levels.
• Experience with tutoring, including the ability to adapt teaching styles to diverse learner needs.
• Strong communication skills for effectively conveying complex mathematical ideas in an accessible manner.
• Familiarity with Primary School Mathematics curriculum areas and competency in preparing students for examinations.
• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mathematics, Education, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Previous experience working with school-age children in tutoring or classroom environments.
• Patience and excellent classroom management skills, with a dedication to promoting inclusivity and respect among students.
• Availability to work full-time on-site at the Paya Lebar/Ubi center and collaborate professionally with the educational team.
