About The Opportunity

Join a globally recognized professional services firm as a Manager in the Valuation and Modelling team based in Singapore. This role involves working across diverse industries and disciplines including decision support, transaction evaluation, strategic planning, capital allocation, business case creation, budgeting, forecasting, data analytics, and bespoke model development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead financial modelling projects supporting strategic planning, capital allocation decisions, transaction evaluations, investment assessments, financial planning, and reporting.
  • Deliver customized modelling solutions and data analytics to solve complex business challenges for clients.
  • Utilize advanced technology and analytical tools to provide insights that enhance service effectiveness and value.
  • Build and maintain positive and professional relationships with both internal teams and external clients.
  • Collaborate effectively within a respected team culture that promotes knowledge sharing, respect, and teamwork.
  • Work closely with other Transaction Advisory units and across the broader organization.

Required Skills and Qualities

  • Proficient financial modelling capabilities, particularly in Excel.
  • Strong skills in data analysis, research, interpretation, validation, and reconciliation of complex datasets.
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply new data analytics software and tools, including visualization and database management platforms.
  • Excellent business communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
  • Strong numerical, analytical skills with experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • High level of intellectual curiosity and a proactive approach to learning.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting, business, finance, economics, or mathematics.
  • Minimum of six years of relevant experience in valuation, financial modelling, or financial planning & analysis.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, finance theory, risk and return, capital budgeting, financial strategies, statistics, and forecasting.
  • Demonstrated capability in using data visualization software such as PowerBI, Spotfire, Tableau, or Alteryx.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to foster internal and external relationships.
  • Strong work ethic with ability to adapt to new challenges collaboratively.

Preferred Additional Qualifications

  • Professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, or CVA (Chartered Valuer and Appraiser).
  • Proven experience in merger integrations, acquisitions, divestitures, or carve-outs.
  • Previous employment in a large professional services firm.
  • Established networking skills within relevant industries.
