  • Molecular Thermodynamics and Advanced Computational Methods focusing on phase behavior, transport phenomena, and process modeling for molecular-level understanding and design innovation.
  • Circular Economy and Sustainable Conversion Technologies targeting catalysis, reaction engineering, and process systems for sustainable production of fuels, chemicals, and materials.
  • Energy Systems and Electrochemical Engineering integrating materials design, thermodynamics, kinetics, and transport principles for improved energy production, conversion, storage, and utilization, including hydrogen, batteries, and electrochemical technologies.

Role Overview

The Manager of Campus Access and Mobility is charged with supervising and enhancing transportation, parking, pedestrian access, and mobility solutions throughout university campuses. This role involves managing campus visitor access, parking zones, entry and exit points, and security infrastructure such as cameras and gate systems. Strategic planning to optimize parking, ensure security, and streamline campus flow is a key responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to strategic planning and annual business planning for the department.
  • Develop and enforce departmental policies and procedures aligned with university objectives, promoting best practices and operational excellence.
  • Manage departmental budgets and provide timely reporting to promptly address any deviations.
  • Oversee delivery of security-related services including campus accessibility and parking facilities.
  • Design and implement a comprehensive access and mobility plan for all campuses.
  • Administer parking policies, permits, and enforcement processes.
  • Deploy smart parking technologies and digital tools for real-time monitoring of parking usage.
  • Ensure compliance of mobility solutions with accessibility standards.
  • Work closely with campus security to improve pedestrian safety through enhanced crossings, lighting, and surveillance in busy areas.
  • Perform risk assessments and institute measures to reduce traffic incidents on campus.
  • Engage with students, faculty, staff, and external partners to promote mobility initiatives.
  • Coordinate with the Transportation team to apply campus-wide transportation policies consistent with university goals.
  • Organize awareness campaigns and training sessions focused on safe and sustainable mobility practices.
  • Oversee budgeting and financial control for transportation and parking operations.
  • Manage vendor contracts related to parking and mobility services.
  • Monitor access controls to restricted university areas to prevent unauthorized entries and incidents.
  • Maintain and train staff on emergency response plans, coordinating efforts across departments.
  • Ensure expenditures comply with university guidelines and program requirements.
  • Uphold university information security policies and report any breaches or security concerns.
  • Collaborate with other departments as needed to ensure efficient task completion.
  • Promote and maintain a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Line Manager.

Supervisory Duties

  • Provide coaching and mentoring to strengthen team capabilities and meet objectives.
  • Identify training needs, recommend courses, evaluate training effectiveness, and monitor outcomes.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and suggest necessary actions.
  • Hold periodic meetings with team members to clarify priorities and ensure workflow efficiency.
  • Manage administrative matters for employees including leave and other related affairs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Facilities Management, Business Administration, or related discipline.
  • At least 8 years of relevant professional experience.

Required Skills

  • Strong leadership and people management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Expertise in developing and implementing strategic plans.
  • Knowledge of transportation and mobility management solutions.
  • Experience in managing budgets and financial resources.

Preferred Skills
