About the Centre for Quantum Technologies (CQT)
The Centre for Quantum Technologies, hosted by the National University of Singapore, unites physicists, computer scientists, and engineers to conduct fundamental quantum physics research and develop quantum technology applications in computing, communication, and sensing. With approximately 200 staff and students, CQT fosters an international and welcoming work environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage PhD student candidature milestones such as QEI, QE II, progress reports, and oral defences.
- Oversee examination processes related to CQT students.
- Handle course registration tasks, including initiation of new courses and evaluating course exemptions.
- Support the PhD Academic Committee with applicant processing including communication and interview coordination.
- Coordinate student travel arrangements including flight quotations and bookings.
- Support activities related to the National Quantum Scholarship Scheme (NQSS).
- Provide secretarial services to the PhD Academic Committee and NQSS Committee.
- Manage additional administrative and operational tasks involving PhD students, including alumni networking, organizing student events, workshops, activities, and welfare programs.
Required Qualifications and Attributes
- Possess at least a bachelor's degree.
- A minimum of five years of relevant job experience.
- Prior experience in managing student programs is preferred.
- Highly meticulous, resourceful, and proactive in approach.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a drive for independence and initiative.
