Maintenance Specialist

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Specialist to join our operations team in Dubai. This role involves overseeing maintenance operations, managing vendors and contracts, supporting facilities and asset management, ensuring compliance and safety, and assisting with budgeting and reporting for company locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance activities across all company sites.
• React swiftly to maintenance requests and resolve facility-related issues.
• Carry out routine inspections to identify potential hazards and requirements for maintenance.
• Coordinate repair and maintenance efforts to reduce disruption to business operations.
• Track condition and efficiency of machinery and infrastructure.
• Oversee relationships with external maintenance vendors and service providers.
• Manage Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs), ensuring timely renewals and compliance with service standards.
• Handle procurement processes including quotations, vendor evaluations, and selection support.
• Authorize service completions and validate maintenance documentation.
• Maintain an updated asset registry including facilities and equipment.
• Assist with new store setups, relocations, refurbishments, and ongoing maintenance projects.
• Monitor equipment lifecycle and advise on replacements as necessary.
• Ensure key equipment is serviced according to manufacturer instructions.
• Uphold compliance with local laws, safety regulations, and internal company policies.
• Perform facility safety inspections and guarantee maintenance activities align with safety standards.
• Keep detailed records of inspections, maintenance, certifications, and permits.
• Track maintenance expenditures and facilitate budgeting efforts.
• Explore cost-saving opportunities and enhance operational efficiency.
• Prepare regular maintenance reports covering completed tasks, pending issues, and vendor performance.
• Monitor maintenance key performance indicators (KPIs) and service quality.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, or related disciplines.
• Certifications in facilities or maintenance management are beneficial.
• A minimum of 5 years' hands-on experience in maintenance or facility operations.
• Proven track record managing multiple sites in sectors like retail, hospitality, food & beverage, cafés, or commercial facilities.
• Experience handling AMCs, contractors, and maintenance budgets.
• Preference for candidates with UAE work experience.

• Technical knowledge of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems.

• Organizational and planning strength.
• Effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and maintenance management software.
