Established in 1987, Shaily Engineering Plastics has grown from a modest beginning with two injection molding machines to becoming India's leading exporter of plastic components. The company operates over seven manufacturing units with more than 200 high-speed injection molding machines, including advanced automated and robotic production lines. Primary Responsibilities

  • Design and administer effective preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for injection molding machines and related auxiliary equipment.
  • Manage systematic upkeep of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems ensuring optimal machine functionality.
  • Track performance metrics including uptime, mean time between failure (MTBF), mean time to repair (MTTR), and frequency of breakdowns.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate maintenance records and documentation.
  • Provide leadership in diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical breakdowns to restore production swiftly.
  • Perform root cause analyses and implement corrective and preventative measures based on findings.
  • Supervise mechanical and electrical maintenance across injection molding machines, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and material handling equipment.
  • Ensure precise machine alignment and safe handling of molds and tools.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and electrical schematics accurately for maintenance tasks.
  • Oversee utilities to guarantee continuous and efficient operation, additionally monitoring energy consumption for cost savings.
  • Manage spare parts inventory, identify critical items, coordinate procurement, and maintain supplier relationships.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, electrical safety standards, machine guarding, and lockout/tagout procedures with regular safety audits.
  • Lead maintenance team activities including manpower planning, mentorship, skills training, and implementing continuous improvement programs such as TPM and 5S.
  • Collaborate on new machine installation, commissioning, trials, and facility expansion projects.

Preferred Skills and Knowledge

  • Strong troubleshooting expertise in mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with various types of injection molding machines including hydraulic, hybrid, and all-electric models.
  • Experience with machine alignment and tool (mold) handling procedures.
  • Ability to read and understand technical engineering drawings and electrical wiring diagrams.
