Maintenance Coordinator

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Plan, organize, and manage preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance tasks.
• Maximize uptime and operational efficiency for production equipment.
• Schedule maintenance activities and allocate resources efficiently.
• Manage maintenance budgets and optimize spare parts inventory to control costs.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and reliability enhancement programs.
• Facilitate smooth communication among planning, production, quality, procurement, HSE, and maintenance teams.
• Create weekly and monthly maintenance plans aimed at minimizing production interruptions.
• Generate, prioritize, and monitor work orders using ERP systems.
• Oversee routine inspections and servicing of equipment including dissolvers, mixers, pumps, mills, compressors, and filling machines.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and coordinate corrective measures to restore normal operations swiftly.
• Track critical spare parts inventory levels to maintain availability without excessive stock.
• Coordinate with external service providers, contractors, suppliers, and OEMs.
• Maintain detailed maintenance records, logs, key performance indicators, and prepare regular reports.
• Engage in root cause analysis and participate in projects aimed at improving equipment reliability.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering preferred; however, candidates with a High Diploma and strong relevant experience will also be considered.
• 3 to 7 years of experience coordinating maintenance activities, ideally in manufacturing sectors such as paint, chemical, or process industries.
• Practical expertise with rotating and process equipment, including dissolvers, mixers, pumps, compressors, and filling systems.
• Familiarity with ERP systems for maintenance management.
• Good understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance methodologies.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards applicable to chemical plants.
• Effective organizational, communication, and coordination abilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ability to perform under pressure while prioritizing tasks effectively.
