Maintenance Assistant

About the Role

Locke Hotels is seeking a committed Maintenance Assistant to join the team at Hyatt Centric in Cambridge. This full-time role involves working 40 hours per week, contributing to the upkeep and smooth operation of guest rooms, public spaces, and other hotel facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine maintenance duties in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house sections.
• Carry out repairs related to electrical systems, plumbing, and HVAC equipment as required.
• Perform inspection and troubleshooting of various hotel equipment and systems to diagnose issues.
• Respond quickly and efficiently to maintenance requests raised by hotel guests and staff members.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety standards in all maintenance work.
• Support renovation efforts and assist with room preparations when needed.

Qualifications and Skills

• Demonstrated experience as a maintenance technician within a hotel or equivalent environment.
• Skilled in handling electrical, plumbing, and HVAC system maintenance and repairs.
• Capable of working independently while also collaborating effectively within a team.
• Strong problem-solving abilities combined with acute attention to detail.
• Relevant technical certifications or qualifications supporting maintenance expertise.
