Logistics Specialist

About the Role

We are currently hiring a Logistics Specialist based in Alice Springs, Northern Territory. This position is pivotal in managing the secure, efficient, and precise handling, storage, and transportation of furniture-related products. The role ensures continuous operations across warehouse activities and delivery, maintaining inventory accuracy, customer satisfaction, and workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive incoming goods and verify them against delivery documentation.
• Promptly identify and report any damage or inconsistencies.
• Unload and store items safely using proper handling methods.
• Accurately pick, pack, and prepare items for shipment.
• Support stock management activities including stocktaking and cycle counts.
• Maintain warehouse orderliness, cleanliness, and adhere to safety protocols.
• Protect inventory from potential damage or loss.
• Contribute to stock rotation procedures and damage minimization.
• Load and secure goods for transportation to various destinations.
• Complete delivery paperwork accurately and obtain customer signatures.
• Deliver high-quality, courteous service during customer deliveries.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and safety requirements.

Candidate Profile

• Possession of a forklift license is highly preferred.
• Experience in warehouse logistics, particularly furniture handling, is advantageous.
• Capability to safely execute manual handling tasks in physically demanding settings.
• Effective communication skills and cooperative team player mindset.
• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in task execution.
• Proficiency with SAP software is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with operating forklifts and warehouse machinery.
• Strong dedication to maintaining workplace health and safety standards.
