Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking an organised and meticulous Logistics Coordinator to manage the comprehensive delivery process of wholesale machinery throughout New Zealand. This position handles coordinating shipments, maintaining precise equipment and ERP data, overseeing machine dispatch and returns, and ensuring all deliveries meet quality and specification standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate timely delivery and movement of machinery across New Zealand, ensuring equipment arrives correctly and in optimal condition.
- Provide administrative and logistical support related to machine ordering, sales orders, inventory control, and invoicing.
- Assist the Product Team by supplying machine information, handling relocations, and supporting demonstration and training machinery supply.
- Maintain accurate ERP and logistics records, while suggesting and implementing improvements to processes and operational efficiency.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic logistics environment, has excellent organisational skills, and can manage multiple priorities efficiently. You should have a proactive problem-solving attitude, deliver exceptional service to both internal and external clients, and demonstrate strong administrative and system management capabilities. Willingness to perform hands-on tasks such as devanning is also essential.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven logistics, stock control, or similar administrative experience.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a history of maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, capable of prioritising multiple demands effectively.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities with a collaborative and proactive mindset.
- Knowledge of agricultural machinery, mechanical aptitude, and experience working with ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and freight or shipping procedures.
- Current Class 1 Driver's Licence and Forklift certification.
- MPI accreditation or willingness to obtain it.
