Job Summary
The Logistics Coordinator / Customer Service Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting daily logistics activities. This includes organizing shipments, tracking purchase orders, arranging delivery schedules, invoicing, and managing all logistics-related documentation. Acting as a central liaison between customers, suppliers, transport providers, and internal teams, this position ensures timely deliveries, streamlined operations, and high customer satisfaction. The role requires proficiency with tools like SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Excel, and customer portals to facilitate operational tasks and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily logistics operations such as scheduling shipments, monitoring deliveries, following up on purchase orders, handling invoicing, and maintaining logistics records.
- Act as the main communication point for customers, suppliers, transportation companies, and internal departments to provide updates on order and delivery statuses.
- Create and maintain precise records related to shipping, receiving, invoicing, and transportation using ERP systems and spreadsheets.
- Collaborate closely with Operations, Warehouse, Finance, and Sales departments to coordinate materials, equipment, and fulfill customer requirements efficiently.
- Track logistics performance, address delivery challenges like delays or damages, and communicate any issues promptly.
- Support inventory management, asset tracking, reporting, and initiatives aimed at improving operational processes and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure all logistics activities comply with company policies, quality standards, health and safety regulations, and relevant laws while fostering a safe and ethical workplace culture.
- Contribute to cost-efficient logistics by promoting budget awareness, accurate documentation, resource optimization, and process enhancements.
- Exhibit accountability, teamwork, customer-centricity, and dedication to operational excellence in all duties.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Familiarity with SAP and Oracle ERP software.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including the use of Pivot Tables and generating reports.
- Solid understanding of logistics, transportation, and supply chain operations.
- Experience handling logistics documentation and coordinating shipments.
- Knowledge of inventory and asset tracking systems.
- Strong customer service approach and communication capabilities, both verbal and written.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving expertise.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Adept at working in fast-paced environments and collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
- Motivated by continuous improvement and adaptable to change.
Educational and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related disciplines.
- Preferred relevant certifications in logistics or supply chain fields.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in logistics, transport, warehousing, or supply chain roles, preferably within oilfield services, industrial, or manufacturing settings.
- Proven experience in shipment coordination, transport planning, inventory control, and managing logistics paperwork.
