Role Overview

As a Lighting Artist at CIG, you will play a crucial role in illuminating the diverse locations within the expansive universe of Star Citizen. This universe comprises numerous solar systems with various environments players can explore seamlessly from space to ground level.

Your main responsibility will be to develop high-quality, cinematic real-time lighting setups for settings ranging from moody space stations orbiting planets to neon-lit cityscapes on alien worlds. The game's artistic direction emphasizes Cinematic Sci-Fi Realism; thus, you'll help establish the mood and atmosphere, showcasing the environment artwork at its finest. This position is based onsite at our Manchester studio.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement believable, cinematic lighting for various in-game locations.
• Ensure all lighting designs comply with real-time rendering performance constraints.
• Collaborate closely with the Lighting Lead and Art Director to realize the artistic vision.
• Work alongside multiple departments to enhance the overall game experience.
