Position Overview

We seek an experienced Data Scientist with advanced programming skills in Python, alongside expertise in statistics, mathematics, econometrics, and panel data analysis, to transform the measurement of consumer behavior across online and physical retail environments.
Role Responsibilities
Contribute to the enhancement and development of our data processing pipelines while innovating new analytical approaches. Progress from handling specific pipeline components to mastering data cleansing, preparation, and validation with large datasets using Python. Develop novel methodologies, formalize them into clear documentation, and collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure scalable and accurate deployment. Engage with stakeholders to comprehend requirements and ensure alignment. This role suits someone passionate about coding, optimizing data processes, and fostering methodological advances in a cooperative, cross-disciplinary setting.
Candidate Profile
You should have a solid grasp of consumer behavior analytics, panel data projections, and consumer metrics. Proven experience in designing statistical software solutions and managing complex datasets is essential. Familiarity with crowdsourced panels and receipt capture is an advantage.
Key Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years professional experience.
- Advanced degree (Master's or Doctorate) in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or BE/BTech in Computer Science, Data Science or closely related field involving large-scale statistical data analysis.
Core Competencies
- Holistic process understanding with an end-to-end mindset bridging methodology, engineering, and business contexts.
- Expertise in analyzing and interpreting large-scale datasets and communicating actionable insights.
- Proficiency in Python programming, including application of statistical methods such as outlier detection and validation, and experience with PySpark for efficient big data processing.
- Optional skills in SQL and query optimization.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, with experience or interest in supporting cross-functional deployment.
- Commitment to continuous learning and adapting to emerging technologies and tools.
Preferred Skills
- Strong statistical aptitude including data cleaning, sampling, bias mitigation, indirect estimation, and aggregation.
- Software engineering experience, especially in designing and developing robust applications.
- Exposure to cloud computing platforms such as Azure AI, Databricks, and Snowflake, and familiarity with version control tools like GitHub or Bitbucket.
