Overview
HubSpot seeks a Lead Compensation Analyst to join the Compensation team as a specialist in statutory pay reporting and compensation systems. This pivotal role involves managing market data collection, advancing pay equity initiatives, and ensuring compliance with global pay transparency regulations including the EU Pay Transparency Directive. The role requires deep analytical expertise, extensive knowledge of US and international pay regulations, and proficiency across multiple compensation platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all statutory pay reporting processes in the US and internationally, ensuring compliance, data accuracy, and timely submissions.
- Serve as the internal expert on the EU Pay Transparency Directive by tracking regulatory changes and converting requirements into executable compensation policies and procedures.
- Oversee annual and ad hoc salary surveys with providers such as Radford and Comptryx, ensuring proper data management and job matching.
- Maintain and troubleshoot key compensation systems including Pave, Compa, Comptryx, Radford, and Workday, collaborating with HRIS for system improvements.
- Coordinate with Legal, HR, and Finance departments to verify statutory pay reporting obligations are met across all operating regions.
- Analyze compensation data continuously to detect trends, gaps, and pay equity issues, providing actionable guidance to leadership.
- Assist in designing, documenting, and updating compensation policies and standard operating procedures related to pay reporting and system administration.
- Engage with People Business Partners and Total Rewards teams to guide and educate on pay transparency implications for workforce management.
- Create and maintain dashboards and reporting tools that deliver up-to-date insights into compensation data, pay equity statistics, and benchmarking results.
- Monitor market trends in pay reporting regulations to anticipate compliance risks and propose policy or process enhancements.
Qualifications & Skills
- Comprehensive understanding of the EU Pay Transparency Directive and its influence on compensation design and reporting.
- Expertise in US and international statutory pay reporting obligations, with focus on pay equity and gender pay gap disclosures.
- Practical experience using compensation systems and survey tools including Pave, Compa, Comptryx, Radford, and Workday.
- Advanced data analysis capabilities including working with large datasets, modeling, and interpreting complex compensation information.
- Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets; familiarity with data visualization platforms such as Tableau or Looker is advantageous.
- Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and compliance in data and processes.
- Strong project management aptitude for handling multiple concurrent reporting deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, able to translate complex regulations into clear, accessible guidance for diverse audiences.
- Collaborative mindset with capacity to work autonomously when needed.
- Adeptness at managing ambiguity while proactively resolving challenges.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, finance, or related field preferred; equivalent professional experience accepted.
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) credential is desirable but not mandatory.
Compensation & Benefits
The annual cash compensation ranges from €74,600 to €119,400 EUR. Compensation packages are determined by objective criteria including skills, experience, and qualifications. Eligible roles may participate in the company's equity plan including restricted stock units (RSUs). HubSpot offers comprehensive benefits aimed at fostering employee growth and well-being.
