Laundry Supervisor

Position Overview

The Laundry Supervisor will be responsible for operating and overseeing the use of washing, dry cleaning, and drying machinery within the laundry facility. This role includes adding chemicals, cleaning lint traps, and ensuring the quality and cleanliness of laundered items. Visual inspection of fabrics to identify stains, damage, or defects will determine further handling like repair or rewash.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage the operation of laundry machines, adjusting settings for fabric types.
• Maintain cleanliness of machinery and laundry work areas, including removing lint and debris.
• Inspect cleaned items and organize them properly into designated carts.
• Fold laundry items either manually or using folding equipment according to size requirements.
• Keep precise records of all laundered articles.
• Adhere strictly to company safety protocols and report any accidents or unsafe conditions.
• Follow all company policies with professionalism and confidentiality to safeguard company assets.
• Build and maintain a positive team environment, listen, and respond effectively to colleagues' concerns.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes aimed at boosting efficiency, quality, safety, or cost-saving measures.
• Physically capable of standing, sitting, or walking through entire shifts and able to move objects up to 25 pounds independently.
• Perform various tasks including bending, reaching, twisting, and moving over challenging surfaces as required.
• Complete additional duties as assigned by supervisory staff.

Qualifications

• No formal education or high school diploma is required for this position.
• No prior related or supervisory experience is necessary.
• There are no licensing or certification requirements.
