Job Overview
The Laboratory Technician will be responsible for setting up and operating testing equipment for client projects. This role involves building and modifying test setups, interpreting technical drawings and instructions, and executing test plans with attention to accuracy and standards compliance.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare, configure, and execute laboratory test arrangements based on client requirements and approved protocols.
- Perform testing in strict alignment with test procedures, standards, and evaluation benchmarks.
- Analyze test samples and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and operational manuals.
- Maintain detailed records of observations, test results, and prepare comprehensive test reports.
- Conduct routine maintenance and basic calibration of laboratory test equipment.
- Modify and adapt test equipment setups for new scenarios, following instructions from engineering personnel.
- Engage with engineering teams and clients to communicate test methods, discuss results, and suggest improvements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes, equipment design, and testing accuracy.
- Ensure up-to-date knowledge of relevant testing standards including IEC 61439 series, IEC 60529, IEC 62208, and IEC 61921.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Completion of Higher Secondary Education complemented by at least three years of pertinent laboratory or testing experience is preferable.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities for effective client and team interactions.
- Innovative thinking and creativity applied to solving testing challenges.
- Collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for working within team environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
- Aptitude for integrating automation technology into daily testing workflows.
