Job description
Overview
We are seeking an Information Technology Support Analyst to join our Clinical Laboratories team at the Golden Jubilee National Hospital. The successful candidate will serve as the primary contact for laboratory systems support, addressing queries and support requests largely from internal laboratory service users.
Key Responsibilities
The role involves providing technical assistance and maintaining laboratory IT systems. This includes supporting the maintenance, development, testing, and deployment of relevant IT applications within the laboratory service.
Required Expertise
The ideal candidate should possess strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience with software testing approaches and quality assurance practices. Familiarity with laboratory automation and clinical order communication systems is desirable, as is prior experience collaborating with primary care IT systems.
Additional Information
You'll be expected to devise technical solutions to issues independently, applying logical and methodical problem-solving skills.
This position is located within the clinical laboratories at the Golden Jubilee National Hospital and is offered as a full-time role with a 36-hour workweek. While the primary work setting is onsite, there is flexibility for hybrid working arrangements.
