About the Role
Join Las Iguanas as a Kitchen Porter, an essential member of the kitchen team inspired by the vibrant flavors of Latin America. This lively and energetic role keeps the kitchen running smoothly through teamwork and dedication. As a Kitchen Porter, you are crucial in maintaining cleanliness and organization, directly supporting kitchen operations and ensuring safe, efficient food preparation.
Key Duties
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize all kitchen areas used for food preparation including ovens, grills, sinks, and stoves.
- Assist with unloading deliveries, ensuring food and equipment are correctly stored.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of work surfaces, floors, and walls.
- Support chefs by helping with basic food preparation tasks such as peeling and washing ingredients.
- Keep freezers, refrigerators, storage, and back-of-house areas clean and well-organized.
