Job description
About Us
We are a Swiss-based company delivering technical assistance and workforce-related solutions worldwide, serving the energy, oil and gas, nuclear, defense, mining, and industrial sectors. Our Dubai branch oversees the Gulf region and beyond.
Role Overview
This Junior Business Development Manager position is an opportunity for an early-career professional to actively manage and grow client portfolios across the region. This role involves hands-on commercial responsibilities, emphasizing territory ownership over support duties.
Key Duties
- Identify and evaluate potential clients within targeted industries, building a sales pipeline through research, referrals, industry events, and direct outreach.
- Engage decision-makers including project directors, site/construction managers, procurement officers, HR, and talent acquisition specialists via phone, email, and face-to-face communication.
- Assess clients' operational needs to recommend appropriate services such as recruitment, employer of record solutions, payroll management, mobility and immigration assistance, or comprehensive workforce project solutions.
- Collaborate with operations and finance teams to prepare commercial proposals, pricing models, and tender submissions.
- Assist with vendor registration and prequalification for major operators, EPC contractors, and subcontractors.
- Maintain and nurture client relationships throughout service delivery in partnership with operations, HR, and recruitment departments.
- Represent the company at relevant industry conferences and on client sites across the region.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date records of pipeline activities and interactions within the CRM system.
Qualifications
- Experience: 1 to 3 years in recruitment, staffing, HR services, or employer-of-record roles with commercial/client-facing duties; OR 1 to 3 years in industrial sales or business development in oil and gas, energy, nuclear, engineering, industrial equipment, or technical consulting sectors.
- Candidates with strong technical or engineering backgrounds seeking transition into commercial roles are also welcome.
- Possession of a bachelor's degree.
- Fluent English proficiency in speaking and writing.
- Comfortable initiating unsolicited contact with potential clients.
- Ability to understand technical project scopes and translate them into staffing needs.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of working independently without close supervision.
- Valid UAE residence visa or eligibility to obtain one.
Preferred Skills and Advantages
- Experience in GCC markets or familiarity with regional business practices.
- Additional language skills such as Arabic or French.
- Knowledge of UAE and GCC labor laws, visa procedures, and employment compliance.
- Existing professional network within oil and gas, energy, or industrial contracting sectors.
- Possession of a UAE driving license.
Additional Information
- Autonomy to manage territory and client accounts from early in the career rather than supporting others.
- Opportunity to work with major international operators, EPC contractors, and specialized industrial clients.
- Structured mentoring from senior commercial staff, with a pathway to becoming a Business Development Manager.
- Competitive salary complemented by a performance-based bonus scheme.
- Benefits include medical insurance, annual leave, and an air ticket as per UAE labor regulations.
