Job description
Overview
We are seeking a diligent and motivated Junior Accountant to join our dynamic, technology-oriented finance team in a fast-moving business-to-business gaming environment. This role is essential for maintaining the precision of our financial information and assisting with the month-end closing processes. You will collaborate closely with the Financial Controller for daily finance operations and have a reporting connection to the FP&A Manager to support cost accounting and business performance analysis.
Key Duties
- Support revenue recognition by aligning with accounting standards and internal protocols relevant to B2B gaming operations.
- Reconcile revenue figures between operational tools and accounting ledgers.
- Calculate revenue sharing and review fundamental contract conditions to ensure billing accuracy.
- Conduct variance analysis and compile revenue reports for business stakeholders.
- Assist in cost accounting efforts and contribute to related reporting tasks.
- Engage in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Provide necessary documentation and information during audits.
- Ensure compliance with deadlines for monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reporting periods.
- Support the maintenance of robust internal financial controls and streamline month-end closing processes.
Additional tasks relevant to the role may be assigned as needed to facilitate business requirements.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Completed diploma, degree, or equivalent qualification in finance, preferably accounting.
- Minimum of one year experience in a related finance or accounting position.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are mandatory.
- Experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central and Power BI is highly advantageous.
- Solid knowledge of fundamental accounting rules, GAAP standards, and bookkeeping practices.
