Job description
About the Role
This permanent full-time position is remote, supporting Canadian Armed Forces Veterans and their families through various rehabilitation services focused on employment integration. The team utilizes a biopsychosocial approach to address challenges faced by Veterans with service-related conditions such as chronic pain, traumatic brain injuries, musculoskeletal injuries, mental health issues, and related psychosocial barriers.
Role Responsibilities
- Establish and nurture partnerships with employers and community groups to develop a robust network of job placement opportunities that enhance participant outcomes.
- Work collaboratively across regions with the Job Development team to sustain national and multi-regional employer relationships.
- Oversee participants’ employment searches, offering guidance and support to address or avoid challenges during the job hunt.
- Engage in forums to advocate for hiring Veterans and partnering with the Canadian Veterans Rehabilitation Services.
- Analyze employment trends and match Veterans with suitable job prospects.
- Design and implement strategies to improve the job development process and participant experience.
- Identify and integrate innovations to enhance outcomes related to job development.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary credential such as a certificate, diploma, or degree in Business Administration, Sales and Marketing, or Human Resources.
- At least three years of relevant experience, including job development, employment counseling, customized employment, or working with individuals with complex musculoskeletal or mental health conditions.
- Experience in employer engagement, employment resources, and facilitating job placements.
- Strong familiarity with regional labor market trends.
- Proficient in digital tools, including case management systems, Microsoft Office suite, MS Teams, SharePoint, the Internet, social media platforms, and LinkedIn.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build trust and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Willingness and availability to work beyond regular hours (8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) to coordinate communications between employers and participants.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license, access to a reliable vehicle, and ability to travel as needed.
- Bilingualism in French and English is considered a valuable asset.
- Employment contingent on obtaining Federal Reliability Status security clearance.
