Java Backend Developer - Spring Boot & Microservices

Overview

We are looking for a skilled Java Backend Developer with strong knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices frameworks. The selected candidate will be responsible for architecting, implementing, and maintaining scalable backend services and APIs that underpin critical business systems.

Key Duties

• Architect and develop high-quality backend solutions utilizing Java and Spring Boot frameworks.
• Create scalable, performant microservices architectures tailored for enterprise applications.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs, ensuring seamless integration with internal and external platforms.
• Produce reusable, efficient, and well-structured code abiding by development best practices.
• Engage and collaborate with solution architects, product managers, frontend developers, and quality assurance teams.
• Enhance applications for optimal speed, reliability, and scalability.
• Contribute in code inspections, debugging, and live system support efforts.
• Incorporate features such as security measures, logging systems, monitoring tools, and error handling protocols.
• Work within Agile Scrum teams to deliver robust software products.
• Participate in continuous integration and continuous deployment workflows, as well as cloud platform rollouts.

Essential Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Core Java versions 8, 11, and 17.
• Expertise in Spring Boot framework.
• Experience developing microservices architectures.
• Strong understanding of REST API design and implementation.
• Knowledge of Spring MVC architecture.
• Familiarity with Spring Data JPA and Hibernate ORM.
• Competency in SQL databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.
• Build tools expertise with Maven or Gradle.
• Version control experience using Git.

Desirable Technical Skills

• Experience with Apache Kafka for distributed messaging.
• Containerization and orchestration knowledge including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience working with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
• Hands-on with CI/CD pipeline implementations.
• Familiarity with caching systems such as Redis.
• Knowledge of search engine technologies like Elasticsearch.
• Working experience within Agile development methodologies.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants holding degrees such as Any Graduate, B.C.A. in any specialization, B.Sc. in any specialization, or B.Tech / B.E. in any specialization are eligible to apply.
