Role Overview
The IT Specialist position is a permanent, on-premise role located in Dawhenya. This role involves managing and supporting the company's IT infrastructure, which encompasses network systems, physical hardware, and software applications. Daily duties include overseeing system performance, diagnosing and addressing technical issues, installing and upgrading hardware and software, and maintaining secure and stable connectivity for all users.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor IT systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems promptly.
- Install and update hardware components and software programs.
- Ensure network and data security protocols are applied and maintained.
- Respond to internal service requests and provide technical support to personnel.
- Document technical solutions and standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with management to plan IT upgrades and resource allocation.
- Implement best practices for securing company technology resources.
Requirements
- Comprehensive experience in IT support covering hardware, software, and operating systems.
- Proficiency in network administration, including configuration and upkeep of routers, switches, and associated devices.
- Strong troubleshooting skills to efficiently prioritize and fix IT issues.
- Understanding of network security concepts and application to protect data and system integrity.
- Excellent customer service abilities to assist users with diverse technical expertise.
- Relevant certifications like CompTIA A+, Network+, or Cisco CCNA, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Capability to work on-site at Dawhenya and juggle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills for interdepartmental collaboration.
