Job description
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated IT Network and System Support Specialist to join our team and oversee Qatar operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and managing internal infrastructure, including computers, servers, networking devices, and security systems to ensure smooth operational continuity.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain internal infrastructure such as laptops, desktops, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, and telecommunication devices.
- Provide support for internet, intranet, LAN, WAN, and network segments to ensure stable connectivity and performance.
- Install and configure both software applications and hardware components effectively.
- Administer network servers and deploy necessary technology tools to support operations.
- Set up user accounts and workstations aligned with organizational requirements.
- Continuously monitor system performance and upkeep to meet operational standards.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues including outages and faults promptly.
- Implement and maintain security measures including access controls, backups, and firewall protections.
- Upgrade and patch systems with latest releases and hardware models as they become available.
- Develop proficiency in emerging technologies to train staff members accordingly.
- Create and maintain an internal knowledge base consisting of technical documentation, manuals, and IT policies.
- Engage in system requirements gathering, analysis, design, development, and implementation activities.
- Design solution architectures that align with the organization’s enterprise architecture standards.
- Execute server administration duties such as user/group management, security permissions, group policy administration, print services, event log analysis, and resource monitoring ensuring seamless component integration.
- Monitor datacenter health using existing management tools and provide prompt responses to hardware problems.
- Assist in building, testing, and maintaining new servers as necessary.
- Collaborate closely with help desk and cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and provide technical support when required.
Additional Information
Expected joining timeframe is within 2 weeks, with a maximum allowance of one month.
