Role Overview
This position demands specialized expertise in gaming investment and deal facilitation within the Investor and Startup Program framework. The role entails crafting exclusive investment programs and deal-making activations for gaming events, positioning them as premier global investment gatherings. Additionally, it supports investor programming across other portfolio events through sector knowledge and investor relations, ensuring elevated investor experiences across all engagements.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and implement innovative investment program formats for gaming conferences, attracting international investors, publishers, and funding bodies, and establishing a global benchmark for capital-to-talent connectivity.
- Develop and manage the gaming investor pipeline by identifying venture capitalists, publisher venture divisions, sovereign investment funds, angel networks, and accelerators, executing targeted outreach activities.
- Administer investor applications and vetting processes to verify investment fund credentials, thesis alignment, and authentic engagement intent with gaming startups.
- Design and oversee content and formats for gaming investment initiatives including reverse pitches, hosted buyer schemes, exclusive investor roundtables, and live deal-making showcases.
- Collaborate with B2B Content Producers to maintain credible, up-to-date investment content attracting appropriate participants.
- Craft comprehensive investor experiences encompassing lounges, curated sessions, concierge meetings, and exclusive programming, ensuring a premium environment.
- Manage matchmaking between investors and startups, ensuring relevancy and quality interactions in partnership with internal teams.
- Coordinate investor communications, matchmaking logistics, and facilitate on-site operations to guarantee outcome-driven programs beyond mere introductions.
- Monitor and report investment program results such as initiated deals, capital commitments, and follow-up engagements.
- Provide cross-event investor support by contributing relationships, outreach, and programming insights where sector expertise is beneficial.
- Assist marketing and cross-functional teams in investor outreach campaigns across events.
- Offer investor program leadership support during peak pre-event and on-site periods.
- Curate investor participant groups across events to reflect sector themes and strategic targets.
- Organize investor-centric roundtables, limited partner introductions, and deal-flow sessions in cooperation with special value program teams.
- Maintain meticulous investor data records including fund details, investment theses, engagement histories, and feedback.
- Track and analyze KPIs related to investor participation, assets under management, meetings held, investment indicators, and investor satisfaction scores.
- Conduct post-event reviews with investors to collect feedback and propose enhancements.
- Continuously nurture investor relationships year-round to sustain engagement across future editions.
- Innovate and propose new features for investor programs, including concept development for upcoming events.
Qualifications and Experience
- Professional background of 4–5 years in investor relations, investor program management, VC or LP interaction, preferably within events, ecosystems, or gaming industries.
- Proven expertise and deep understanding of the gaming investment ecosystem, including venture capital, publisher venture arms, sovereign funds, and accelerator networks.
- Experienced in curating sophisticated investor experiences involving active engagement design, beyond basic logistics and registration.
- Established network within gaming and technology investment communities, mainly across MENA, APAC, or Europe.
- Knowledgeable about the end-to-end gaming investment lifecycle, from early-stage accelerators to sovereign capital deployment.
- Additional familiarity with sectors like cybersecurity or fintech is advantageous for broader portfolio support.
- Excellent relationship management skills to interact professionally and discreetly with senior investors.
- Adept at managing simultaneous investor programs across multiple events, geographies, and sectors.
- Proficiency with investor management platforms, CRM systems, and event management tools.
- Strong command of written English; Arabic language skills are a valuable asset.
