Job description
Job Overview and Responsibilities
The Integration Specialist will manage and oversee integration services, APIs, queues, scheduled interfaces, and middleware components to ensure optimal functionality. This role requires meticulous monitoring and troubleshooting of failed transactions, authentication errors, timeouts, data-mapping issues, and interface performance challenges.
Collaboration is key, as the specialist will coordinate incident resolutions with cross-functional teams including application, database, network, security, and external integration groups. They will support controlled configuration changes, management of certificates and endpoints, deployments, and carry out release validations.
Documentation and Compliance
Maintaining detailed interface catalogs, dependency mappings, specifications, operational runbooks, and known-error documentation is essential. The role also involves ensuring secure integration practices, such as API security, logging, traceability, and enforcement of access controls.
Change Management and Reporting
The specialist will assess when integrations require development efforts or new scopes, ensuring these follow formal approval workflows. They will contribute technical insights and evidence for root-cause analyses and service reporting.
