Job description
About Mixpanel
Mixpanel is a premier product analytics platform trusted by over 29,000 enterprises worldwide. Combining advanced analytics with AI tailored to your business, Mixpanel aids teams in understanding product usage, identifying successes and failures, and making informed decisions about future development.
The Team
The Named Accounts Team plays a vital role in the go-to-market approach by focusing on Mixpanel’s top EMEA accounts. This team is dedicated to assisting major corporations in making data-driven decisions that transform their organizations and deliver substantial value.
The Inside Sales team in EMEA collaborates closely with Strategic Account Executives. They engage with many European firms as the initial Mixpanel contact, converting free trial users, webinar participants, or targeted outreach into qualified sales opportunities.
Role Summary
You will manage the initial stages of the sales funnel for designated strategic accounts and prospects. Working closely with seasoned Strategic AEs, you will align on objectives tailored to their territories. Your expertise in infiltrating new accounts and engaging multiple stakeholders within existing customers will drive pipeline growth and sometimes lead entire sales cycles. This position also offers mentorship opportunities by shadowing seasoned AEs, fostering professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Quickly and honestly assess inbound leads, including signups, trials, and marketing-generated prospects, separating viable opportunities from noise and ensuring proper routing.
- Proactively reach out to Fortune 500 companies across EMEA, prioritizing those where Mixpanel's value would be most compelling.
- Consistently generate a steady stream of qualified meetings each quarter to build pipeline for Account Executives.
- Engage with multiple stakeholders such as Product, Growth, Data, and Engineering leaders, understanding their objectives before making proposals.
- Develop innovative outbound campaigns across email, phone, social media, and video, based on thorough research rather than volume alone.
- Identify expansion opportunities within non-enterprise accounts by recognizing product usage signals.
- Collaborate with Account Executives, Customer Experience, Sales Engineering, and Marketing to refine messaging, test new approaches, and uncover untapped demand.
- Maintain accurate internal records to ensure pipeline and forecasts reflect actual status.
- Serve as a conduit for market insights on competitors, pricing, and priorities, informing the broader team.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of two years experience in sales or business development, preferably within SaaS or technology sector.
- Strong prospecting skills with a genuine passion for outbound sales techniques.
- Clear and effective communicator capable of building trust with both executives and engineers.
- Curious about product development with dedication to mastering technical products.
- Self-motivated, organized, and resilient in managing a territory over an extended period.
- Collaborative team player with humility and willingness to share successful tactics.
- Embraces AI tools to enhance productivity and scalability.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in another European language is advantageous.
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience selling to teams focused on Product, Growth, or Data.
- Familiarity with analytics, experimentation platforms, or modern data infrastructure.
- Some background in closing deals and managing sales processes.
Benefits & Perks
- Comprehensive coverage that includes medical, vision, and dental plans.
- Mental wellness support benefits.
- Generous vacation allowance plus additional company holidays.
- Enhanced parental leave policies.
- Volunteer time off to support community engagement.
- For US-based employees: pre-tax benefits such as 401(k), wellness programs, and holiday breaks.
- Note: Benefits and perks may differ for contract roles.
Culture and Values
- Encourage bold, courageous decision-making rather than comfortable progress.
- Use data, experience, and collective insight to guide sound decisions.
- Emphasize collaboration across teams to achieve greater impact.
- Foster honest and direct communication built on meaningful relationships.
- Prioritize customer success as the primary objective.
- Seek simple, elegant solutions for complex challenges.
Diversity and Inclusion
Mixpanel is committed to equal opportunity employment and values diverse representation. The company actively encourages applications from women, people with disabilities, veterans, underrepresented minorities, and LGBTQ+ individuals. Non-discrimination applies across numerous characteristics including race, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, veteran status, and disability.
