Job description
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager specializing in Information Security to join a prominent banking client based in Sharjah, UAE. The role focuses on overseeing cyber security and data protection projects, ensuring secure and compliant technology implementations within the banking and financial services sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Information Security and Cyber Security projects end-to-end using both Agile and Waterfall frameworks.
- Define and manage project scope, schedules, budgets, personnel, risks, and outcomes effectively.
- Work closely with IT, PMO, Business Units, and Information Security teams to deliver secure technology solutions.
- Ensure alignment with the bank's Information Security policies and regulatory compliance obligations.
- Identify potential risks and issues; develop mitigation strategies.
- Contribute to project governance, manage backlogs, and communicate progress with stakeholders.
- Facilitate coordination with vendors, auditors, and internal reviewers during security audits and compliance checks.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related disciplines.
- Minimum of 6 years managing Information Security or Cyber Security projects in the Banking or BFSI industry.
- Proven track record handling enterprise security and data protection initiatives.
- In-depth knowledge of application security, software development lifecycle (SDLC), firewall technologies, vulnerability management, technology risk, and security controls.
- Familiarity with standards such as ISO 27001, PCI DSS, UAE IAS, SWIFT CSP, GDPR, and UAE Data Protection laws.
- Experience with project management software tools including MS Project, SharePoint, JIRA, and Asana.
Preferred Certifications
- CISSP, CISM, CISA, PMP, PRINCE2, PMI-ACP, AgilePM, or related certifications.
