Job Overview
Master Works invites applications for the role of Informatica Engineer with 4 to 6 years of experience in data integration and ETL solution design. The position involves crafting and managing data workflows, transforming and integrating data from diverse sources, and ensuring high standards for data quality and accuracy. The engineer will also be responsible for troubleshooting integration problems and aiding initiatives related to data migration and data warehousing.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and fine-tune Cloud Data Governance and Catalog (CDGC) solutions to meet organizational data cataloging, metadata management, data discovery, and governance needs.
- Manage CDGC system encompassing configuration, upkeep, metadata ingestion, catalog oversight, and continuous improvements.
- Organize and maintain data assets, metadata, business terminology, classifications, and interrelationships within the CDGC framework.
- Support data governance by ensuring comprehensive cataloging, proper classification, documentation, and compliance with governance standards of data assets.
- Onboard metadata and integrate it from multiple data sources into the CDGC platform.
- Monitor CDGC-related technical issues and maintain system availability and reliability for governance and cataloging functions.
- Work collaboratively with data governance, engineering, and business groups to foster effective use and adoption of CDGC.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Between 4 to 6 years of hands-on experience with Informatica development and data integration.
- Strong expertise in developing and managing CDGC platforms.
- Proficiency with Informatica PowerCenter and/or Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC/IICS).
- Deep understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data integration methods.
- Advanced SQL skills and familiarity with relational databases including Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL.
- Knowledgeable in data warehousing principles such as fact and dimension tables, ETL workflows, and data marts.
- Experience in troubleshooting, performance optimization, and tuning ETL workflows.
- Sound understanding of data quality assurance, validation, and reconciliation processes.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Informatica Cloud platforms (IICS/IDMC).
- Familiarity with Informatica Data Quality (IDQ) or Master Data Management (MDM).
- Working knowledge of Unix/Linux shell scripting and Python or other scripting languages.
- Exposure to cloud ecosystems such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience implementing API-based integrations and working with web services.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies applied to data integration.
- Relevant certifications in Informatica or cloud technologies are advantageous.
Location
The role is based onsite at the client location in Al Khobar, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia.
