Role Overview
Reporting directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), the Human Resources Director will lead all HR functions and champion critical people-centric strategies that drive business expansion, enhance organizational capabilities, and support transformation efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior leaders and business heads to shape and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Provide expert HR guidance on organizational design, workforce planning, leadership development, talent and succession management, change facilitation, and capability building.
- Cultivate a high-performance, value-driven workplace culture emphasizing accountability, collaboration, innovation, and employee engagement.
- Oversee major HR functions including HR Business Partnering, recruitment, talent management, learning and development, compensation, payroll, employee relations, HR operations, and HR information systems.
- Drive initiatives in talent development, leadership growth, career progression, and succession planning to secure a strong talent pipeline.
- Lead HR transformation projects focusing on digitalization, HRIS optimization, process enhancements, people analytics, and continuous effectiveness improvements.
- Ensure robust compensation, benefits, and rewards systems are competitive, sustainable, and compliant with employment laws, maintaining sound governance standards.
- Manage manpower planning, budgeting, and workforce cost control to maximize productivity and efficiency.
- Develop and mentor the HR leadership team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing HR function tailored to business needs.
- Provide insightful workforce analytics and recommendations to aid senior management's decision-making, contributing to major group HR initiatives.
- Stay informed on emerging HR trends, technologies, government policies, and best practices to enhance the organization's people strategies.
Candidate Requirements
- Possess a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; professional HR certifications are advantageous.
- Have at least 15 years of progressive HR experience with a minimum of 8 years in senior HR leadership or as a head of function.
- Demonstrated leadership across multiple HR disciplines within regional, international, or multi-business settings.
- Proven expertise in HR strategy formulation, organizational change, talent and succession planning, and leadership development.
- Comprehensive understanding of compensation and benefits, HR compliance and governance, labor laws, and employee relations.
- Experience with HR digital transformation, HRIS platforms, process improvements, and workforce analytics is highly preferred.
- Strong commercial insight with the ability to convert strategic business priorities into practical people solutions.
- Exceptional leadership qualities, including communication, influencing skills, and stakeholder engagement, especially with senior leadership.
- Background in sectors like retail, food and beverage, hospitality, manufacturing, or consumer goods is considered a plus.
