Role Overview

Konnect Fastening Systems NZ is seeking an HSE Advisor passionate about fostering a safe work environment where all employees return home safely each day. This position involves partnering with senior leaders, operational managers, and branch teams nationwide to sustain a culture built around Safety First, Integrity, Teamwork, and Excellence.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and oversee the implementation of HSE and wellbeing initiatives across multiple branches nationwide.
  • Offer hands-on support, guidance, and coaching to management and staff on safe operations, risk control, and compliance matters.
  • Lead thorough investigations into incidents, determine root causes, and support the deployment of corrective measures.
  • Perform audits, site inspections, and risk assessments to identify safety hazards and promote ongoing enhancements.
  • Champion a proactive safety culture that drives accountability throughout the organization.
  • Ensure precise maintenance of safety documentation, compliance reporting, and alignment with legislative and company standards.
  • Assist in the management of fleet, machinery, and equipment safety, including conducting safety checks, overseeing maintenance processes, and enforcing operational safety protocols.

Candidate Profile

  • Holds or is pursuing a Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health and Safety.
  • Experience in a similar HSE advisory capacity within operational or multi-site settings.
  • Solid grasp of WHS legislation and compliance frameworks.
  • Familiarity with fleet, plant, and equipment safety management is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to coach and influence diverse stakeholders.
  • A practical and grounded approach to embedding safety practices.
