Job description
Overview
This position involves maintaining both patient and non-patient areas within the hospital, ensuring they remain clean, safe, and visually appealing. The housekeeper actively engages in quality and performance improvement activities within the department while following established hospital policies and procedures. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning and disinfection tasks using a standardized seven-step process.
- Follow infection control protocols, including universal precautions and safety measures during work tasks.
- Organize and maintain equipment, storage rooms, and environmental closets in a neat and orderly manner.
- Carry out all floor maintenance duties in line with departmental policies and procedures.
- Adhere to the organization's Service First principles.
- Meet hospital-required competencies and complete assigned objectives.
- Comply with hospital and departmental policies consistently.
Experience and Education Requirements
- Experience: Prior housekeeping experience is necessary; one year of relevant housekeeping experience is preferred.
- Education: Candidate should possess knowledge and skills equivalent to a high school diploma or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
- Training: Job-specific training will be provided upon hiring.
