About the Role
The Housekeeper role involves delivering personal cleaning services to residents in a retirement community setting. This position requires caring for individual rooms as if visiting someone's home, fostering personal connections with residents. Additionally, duties include cleaning shared spaces such as nursing stations, lounges, restrooms, offices, and clinic areas.
The work schedule is full-time from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with responsibilities including working every other weekend and holiday.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out all cleaning tasks while maintaining a helpful and service-oriented approach towards fellow employees and residents.
- Perform routine cleaning activities in assigned areas following specific schedules and approved methods.
- Keep assigned cleaning equipment clean and notify management of any repair needs.
- Monitor and report any maintenance concerns related to equipment, furniture, buildings, and fixtures.
- Operate various cleaning machinery including washers, dryers, vacuum cleaners, and communication devices as necessary.
- Maintain a flexible attitude when approaching daily tasks.
Required Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping experience in a related environment is preferable.
- Proficiency in English sufficient to safely and effectively perform job duties.
- Physical capability to carry out the manual requirements of the position.
