Job Overview

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming and clean shopping environment that encourages repeat visits.
• Support the department leader in driving sales and managing profit objectives.
• Encourage and exemplify excellent customer service following the Customer First strategy.
• Maintain product knowledge in the department and assist customers by answering queries and suggesting items.
• Offer product samples to introduce customers to new products.
• Communicate ongoing promotions and specials related to Drug GM and Home departments.
• Manage inventory by stocking, labeling, checking expiry dates, and addressing discrepancies.
• Identify potential maintenance or safety concerns and report them promptly.
• Uphold safety standards by observing procedures and reporting hazards, accidents, or any illegal activities.
• Foster a respectful and trusting work environment among associates.

Required Qualifications

• Capability to manage high-pressure or stressful situations effectively.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Basic mathematics proficiency including counting, addition, and subtraction.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail settings.
• Ability to communicate in a second language, including speaking, reading, or writing.
